    Re: What's new in WLM?

Portuguese of Brazil or Portugal? Would it be logical to assume that they
are going to put all the Office Proofing Tools into WLM eventually? Are the
obstacles legal or technical? It seems strange to leave out English(UK) and
to include Korean but no Japanese or Chinese.

    Re: What's new in WLM?

Not when you consider the relative importance of US versus UK English. What
it is all about, is cultural hegemony, you know. You don't give aid and
comfort to your enemy, nor to your competitor, not when the stakes are this
high. Who gets to be the Lingua Franca of the 21st Century? Certainly not
UK, not if Redmond can help it. Note that Mandarin Chinese is also absent,
as are Arabic, Hindi, and other languages with a modicum of speakers and
    importance.

You already know the patch to get English(UK) spell checking in the previous
version. One can hope that it still works in the current one.

Spanish speakers have the right idea. There are sixty-five or so dialects,
but all use the same spelling. None of this "honor" versus "honour"
    foolishness.
