| | Custom Dictionary I am using build 14 - Vista Ultimate. When I try to ADD a word to the custom dictionary, either during the send process, or under tools-options-spelling-custom dictionary-edit, I can't do it. During ''send'', if I click ADD, it says the spell check of this document was halted, do you want to send anyway? Under the tools-options attempt I try to add a word - nothing happens when I click ADD. I don't seem to be able to delete words either. BChat |

| | Re: Custom Dictionary Yes, I see both of those spelling bugs, which did not exist in build 12. When I try to 'Add' a new word during a spell check, it exits spell check with the warning "The spell check of this document was halted, do you want to send anyway?" Also, when I check the words in the custom dictionary, the new word was not added. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "BChat" <BChat@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:eY8hhQOHJHA.1308@xxxxxx Quote: >I am using build 14 - Vista Ultimate. > > When I try to ADD a word to the custom dictionary, either during the send > process, or under > tools-options-spelling-custom dictionary-edit, I can't do it. > > During ''send'', if I click ADD, it says > the spell check of this document was halted, do you want to send anyway? > > Under the tools-options attempt I try to add a word - nothing happens when I > click ADD. > I don't seem to be able to delete words either. > > BChat > |

| | Re: Custom Dictionary Must not be common to all possible installed scenarios or a function of use. Originally I thought I had the issue...could not 'add' via Tools/Options/Spelling/Edit Once a new message(email and news) was created in Mail and News, spell checked(manually and later automatically) I was able to add one from within the message and one via the edit option(attached). -- ...winston ms-mvp mail "Eyal [MSFT]" <EyalAxelrod@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:Ow0tQuQHJHA.2580@xxxxxx Quote: > Thank you for the report. | | Re: Custom Dictionary FYI- Since my OP - I added Vista Home Premium 64 bit to a spare HD. Custom Dictionary will allow me to add and remove words, as will sending a message. I D/Ld WLM build 12, then updated to 14. Since I never used Windows Mail on the new drive, nothing was imported from it. I booted to HP 32bit - still no luck. I have no idea why the 64 bit works and the 32 doesn't. ----------------------- "BChat" <BChat@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:eY8hhQOHJHA.1308@xxxxxx I am using build 14 - Vista Ultimate. | | Re: Custom Dictionary So far the common thread for this bug seems to be Vista 32-bit. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "BChat" <Smile@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:eIFrCV2HJHA.4084@xxxxxx Quote: > FYI- > Since my OP - I added Vista Home Premium 64 bit to a spare HD.
