On the far right side of the toolbar it says sign in on mine, I don't want to sign in because it takes to much time to load but its strange why not have alerts when not signed in? Is it possible you're not signed-in, so you don't see the reminder ui? There are some advantages and I have gotten used to the extra sign in time, its not much.
