Windows Live Mail Desktop Beta...Calendar does not sync

This is really strange. Everything else (email, RSS, news, contacts) works
fine, but my Calendar refuses to sync with the online live calendar. My mail
client says:

///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
There was an error when attempting to connect to the Windows Live Calendar
service. If the error persists, check to see if there's an upgrade of
Windows Live Mail available or contact a service representative.
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Are other people facing the same problem?

Re: Windows Live Mail Desktop Beta...Calendar does not sync

It is possible for email, news, and other things to sync independently since
they use different servers. Calendar in particular syncs with the calendar
service at calendar.live.com, so it is possible that the service was
temporarily down when you tried to sync. If you receive this error message
again, try logging into the web version of your calendar at
http://calendar.live.com to see if the service is actually available. If
you are seeing the error message you mentioned and the service is available,
that could indicate an issue.

Re: Windows Live Mail Desktop Beta...Calendar does not sync

I have been having the same issue since I installed the beta version. I get the same error message every time I try to sync. I can access my calendar online but cannot get it to sync. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello - can you follow up with me offline (geoffcl@xxxxxx)? I'd like
to look at your log files to see why you can't sync.

Thanks,

Re: Windows Live Mail Desktop Beta...Calendar does not sync

Hello,
I've been getting this error message all the time since I started
using WLMB over a week back. I have logged into the web version of my
calendar (http://calendar.live.com) and the service is very much available.
I've even subscribed to an iCal holiday list from Mozilla and it's working
fine on my web calendar. However, I don't see it being synchronized with my
WLMB Calendar...nor are the calendar events I've added to my desktop
calendar being reflected on the web version.

Re: Windows Live Mail Desktop Beta...Calendar does not sync

I have logged on to my web calendar and it is working. When I go back to my Windows Calendar to sync, I get the error message every time. Any other thoughts on how to get it to sync?

I have logged on to my web calendar and it available and working. Any other ideas?

In response to Geoff, what do you need to do to see my log files?

Thanks.

Re: Windows Live Mail Desktop Beta...Calendar does not sync

I do not have the option of an email button on any of the posts nor can I find him in member lists. I am new to this forum so maybe I am doing something wrong. I found the log file.

Thanks.

Re: Windows Live Mail Desktop Beta...Calendar does not sync

See Geoff's post it contained the email address. Copy it into the To: field of an email message and attach your log file, then send
the message.
