| | Recovered Items? I use WLM, for both my emails ,and for newsgroups. I am using version 2008 ( build 12.0.1606) I constantly, well almost daily at least, end up having some newsgroup messages, end up in my " recovered items " folder. I just delete the newsgroup message, and move on. But then, the next day or whenever, go through it again. Is this a bug, in WLM, or am I doing something that could be avoided and prevent this from happening? Thanks for any tips here, -- Don |

| | Re: Recovered Items? That can happen when the index gets out-of-synch with the messages on your hard disk. I've had that happen a couple of times, but shouldn't happen on a daily basis. Are you closing WLM before shutting down Windows? If not, when the Windows shutdown forces WLM to close, there might not be enough time for WLM to save everything. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "Don" <burnettedclothes@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:ACE7AB04-FD4E-46CB-890E-DFE44062C134@xxxxxx Quote: > I use WLM, for both my emails ,and for newsgroups. > > I am using version 2008 ( build 12.0.1606) > > I constantly, well almost daily at least, end up having some newsgroup > messages, end up in my " recovered items " folder. | | Re: Recovered Items? Thanks Michael, yes I close WLM prior to shutting down. I tend to sleep my system a lot as well, but I usually close it prior to sleeping also, not all the time though. -- Don "Michael Santovec" <michael_santovec@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:#YWbyPMIJHA.1968@xxxxxx Quote: > That can happen when the index gets out-of-synch with the messages on your > hard disk. > > I've had that happen a couple of times, but shouldn't happen on a daily > basis. > > Are you closing WLM before shutting down Windows? | | Re: Recovered Items? That news account may be corrupted, so you may have to delete it, restart WLMail, then recreate that account. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "Don" <burnettedclothes@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:ACE7AB04-FD4E-46CB-890E-DFE44062C134@xxxxxx Quote: >I use WLM, for both my emails ,and for newsgroups. > > I am using version 2008 ( build 12.0.1606) > > I constantly, well almost daily at least, end up having some newsgroup > messages, end up in my " recovered items " folder.
