Are you in Cyprus at the moment, and are you connected to the Internet
via prime-tel.com or primehome.com?

When you try to send an email, do you receive an on-screen error
message? If so, please provide the complete wording of the error
message. (To deter spammers, you disguise the email address or account
name quoted in the error message. However, we still need details of
everything after the "@" symbol".)

Re: can not sent email from local provider

I'm not totally clear about the primetel and primehome relationship. Some
providers will not allow you to send e-mail unless you are connected to that
provider when you send the e-mail. For example I am not connected to my
provider at this time. I am on Wi-Fi through another provider and cannot
send e-mail using mike@xxxxxx. I have to use another e-mail system
like GMail, AOL, GMX, etc. So depending on this primetel and primehome
relationship, primetel may have blocked a port or they use ports you need to
open. I discovered this when I set my Mail account up. There is some
information here that might help you:

Re: can not sent email from local provider

You are using the POP3 server at mail.avacom.net to receive incoming
mail. I assume there are no problems with incoming messages.

That suggests that you have a mail account with AvacomNet Services, even
though you connect to the Internet via a different ISP (Primehome).
Your attempts to send outgoing mails via the SMTP server at
mail.primehome.com failed.

You are not using your own ISP for outgoing emails - and that may be the
reason for your problem.

Unfortunately, the help pages at
http://www.avacom.net/index.php?opti...age&Itemid=109 and at
http://www.primehome.com/main/main.aspx?id=434#settings are unhelpful.
They do not even say which port numbers subscribers must use to send and
receive mail - or whether a connection to the outgoing mail server
requires Secure Password Authentication or SSL.

If you had connected to the Internet via Avacom, you would have been
able to use their outgoing mail server. Avacom and/or Primehome
technical support might be able to offer further advice. However, I
suspect that Primehome will not allow you to use their outgoing mail
server, if you try to send messages that show the sender as
username@xxxxxx.

Even though you are connected via Primehome, you could try to send a
message via the outgoing mail server at mail.avacom.net on default port
number 25. However, Avacom will probably reject your connection to
their SMTP mail server. If so, you should ask Avacom whether their
subscribers can use a secure (SSL) or authenticated connection to send
mail via a different port at mail.avacom.net.

Otherwise, you should be able to use your web browser to connect to
http://www.avacom.net/index.php?opti...tpage&Itemid=1, and sign into
your AvaMail account. Then, you could send emails via the Avacom
webmail interface.
