Vista - why are all my incoming emails going straight in the deleted folde

Is this a POP3 account? If so, look at Tools, Message Rules, Mail. Do
you have any rules with an action of Delete It or Move to Deleted Items
folder? If so, it may be catching all your messages.

Also look at Tools, Safety Options, Blocked Senders. You might have an
entry there that is matching the incoming e-mails.

WLM doesn't act on a message with movement to the deleted items folder without a rule in place and active on incoming messages.

The Blocked senders feature doesn't move items to the Deleted items folder, but only to the Junk Mail folder(thus Safety Options
should if operating properly be ruled out as cause).

Hotmail account's filtering prior to local delivery/sync with the same account in WLM act similar for Junk Mail using the Junk Mail
folder as a repository. Hotmail also has an option to create a filter to sort mail into a given folder including the Deleted Items
folder.


Which type of account is yours ?
