| | Bug in selecting a mail recipient from contacts list Repro: First, ensure that you have enough contacts so that they will not all fit in the contacts list window without scrolling. 1. Create a new email message. 2. Click to the "To:" button to bring up the contacts list (or select Tools->Select from contacts...). 3. In the Contacts List (window is titled "Send an E-mail"), scroll down through the contacts and select one that was not originally visible when the windows first came up (i.e. it was not visible until you scrolled down). At this point, notice that the scroll bar has been brought back to the top of the list of contacts, and the first contact appears to be selected. Expected behavior: The contact clicked on in step 3 should be selected. The scroll bar should not jump. 4. Select the contact you originally selected in step 3. 5. Press the To: button to try to add the selected contact to the recipient list. Notice that the button depresses, but the contact is not added to the recipient list. Expected behavior: Pressing the To: button should add the contact to the recipient list. 6. Press the Cancel button. Notice that the cancel button depresses, but does nothing. In fact, none of the buttons work at this point. Pressing the <ESC> key will dismiss the window. Expected behavior: Pressing cancel should dismiss the window. You can work around this issue by selecting a contact that is visible when the contact list first opens before scrolling down. -- Greg |

| | Re: Bug in selecting a mail recipient from contacts list That bug has been discussed here several times over the past few weeks. I understand MS has indicated that this problem is already fixed in a newer build they have in-house. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "Greg Boyko" <gregboyko@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:57CEBA0C-20CE-4107-A74C-9BB0D32785D7@xxxxxx Quote: > Repro: > > First, ensure that you have enough contacts so that they will not all fit in the contacts list window without scrolling. > > 1.
