| | WLM Crashes When Trying To Open Second Attachment Just this week, WLM started crashing if a message has more than one attachment and I attempt to save the attachments. I use the Business version of Vista 32-bit. I've installed no new software, and my virus protection is Norton Internet Security. This problem just started happening out of the blue. I'd not changed anything and no virus is detected. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice, no change. Any help appreciated. Below is the message I get: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: wlmail.exe Application Version: 12.0.1606.1023 Application Timestamp: 471e44f8 Fault Module Name: OFFICEAV.DLL Fault Module Version: 15.0.0.58 Fault Module Timestamp: 46d2262b Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 00005606 OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.256.6 Locale ID: 1033 Additional information about the problem: LCID: 1033 |

| | Re: WLM Crashes When Trying To Open Second Attachment Aha! Yours is the third example of this problem in as many days, and in each case Norton has been involved. By posting your crash report, you have revealed that it's most probably the Norton Office plug-in that's causing the crash. I would suggest, therefore, following the instructions in http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;329820 to see if that doesn't make the problem go away. Please report back so that others can benefit from your experience. -- Noel "Paula" <Paula@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:B73C3586-A334-496F-99F1-893A17AEAA23@xxxxxx Quote: > Just this week, WLM started crashing if a message has more than > one > attachment and I attempt to save the attachments. | | Re: WLM Crashes When Trying To Open Second Attachment I followed the instructions per the link you gave me, and I've tested it for about 20 minutes, so far so good; however, now I don't have virus protection for my Office documents, which I do get in bundles at times. I've been using Norton since Symantec first came out with it, long time, never had any issues until now, doesn't make sense. We'll see what happens with WLM, I still need to have some eMails come in with attachments and test some new ones. IE7 is doing something quite similar too. Every time I go to close it, it gives me the same windowed error with different information. I just don't get it. I know I'm repeating myself, but I haven't done anything... see below: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: iexplore.exe Application Version: 7.0.6001.18000 Application Timestamp: 47918f11 Fault Module Name: iefdm2.dll_unloaded Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 474aaf90 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 078716d3 OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.256.6 Locale ID: 1033 |

| | Re: WLM Crashes When Trying To Open Second Attachment That looks to be an entirely unrelated issue that you'd better ask about in an Internet Explorer forum like news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...plorer.general I've cross-posted this response for your convenience. I would try disabling the IE add-on installed by FreeDownloadManager. -- Noel "Paula" <Paula@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:072D3EFE-FD6A-4C7D-A62C-4A223049966F@xxxxxx Quote: > IE7 is doing something quite similar too.
