I have read many of the posts but I have not seen this specific issue. Here
are the details:
1. AT&T (Yahoo) is requiring SSL for both POP and SMTP (995/465)
2. I had this setup in my WLM system and working (with some intermitent
problems)
3. A couple of weeks ago it just stopped working all together
4. After a lot of investigation I found if i move POP back to 110 non-SSL I
can POP my mail. I cannot check SMTP the same way because AT&T blocks port
25 (I keep getting notifications from Yahoo on moving to SSL but I get the
same error below but of course on poart 995)
5. I have 7 mail accounts (3 not work correctly via POP/SMTP) and 4 http
(Live and Gmail accounts) work fine
6. I upgraded today to the new beta version to see if this was fixed and I
get the same results.
First any assistance would be great and second it seems to be an SSL
implementation issue and I read on a few other blogs/groups that some mail
clients have issues with certain SSL implementations. I need to be able to
POP/SMTP via SSL with my WLM client or I will have revert back to Outlook.
(BTW, I am a Microsoft employee so I would like to utilize our customer
products if possible)

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity.
Subject 'Test'
Server: 'smtp.att.yahoo.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 465
Secure(SSL): Yes

Also, on this error message, it comes up almost instantly so I don't believe
it is having time to "time out" or be disconnnect from the server.
Thanks for your help, Sean
