Windows Live web site. You are referring to the "Favorites" in MS Internet
Explorer? That is not the same as Windows Live Mail, which is a local email
client application.
I am not sure I understand the comment about "WLMail.Url.Mailto permission".
Do you even get an error when you click on the taskbar icon for Windows Live
Mail? That icon should invoke a local application. Looking at the
"Properties" for the WLMail icon on my computer, I see this in the "Target:"
field:
| "C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Mail\wlmail.exe"
Check your process list in your Task Manager; see if that is listed as a
running process. If it is, stop it, and try from the icon again.
