Hotmail Plus on an iPhone or iPod Touch is only pop3.
Creating a new hotmail plus account(Choose the Other option) on an iPhone or iPod Touch(provided current Apple software/updates
is/are installed on the Apple device)will automatically configure the account with the correct settings(pop3, smtp, SSL, ports,
authentication).
