Vista - Calendar Event Reminders

If anyone else is having similar problems, my experience may help.

I currently run Vista Business and was testing event reminders. I signed my
mobile phone up, received the confirmation code, and set an event within WLM
Desktop to test. (I share my calendar with another account. That other
account shares their calendar with me. Just in case sharing affects the
issue...)

So to test, I scheduled something for 5 minutes later with 0-minute reminder
time. That didn't work. I tried an event for 20 minutes later with 5-minute
reminder time. Still nothing. Lastly, I tried scheduling an event for an hour
ahead with 5-minute reminder - didn't work either.

I wasn't signed into Messenger and nothing was sent to my mobile or email.

So I went back to "Deliver my reminders to" (under Calendar > Tools) and
THEN it notified me that a mobile had been set up and to click Continue.
Perhaps this was the issue? So I double-checked my settings and it said if
I'm signed out of Messenger, reminders would only be delivered to my mobile.
I changed it to include my email as well.

I set up another event. The reminder worked, but not 5 minutes ahead of the
event. I received notice 1 minute ahead of the event on my mobile and via
email. Four minutes seems like quite a delay, but at least I got the reminder
working?
