I'm not sure if this is the right place for this but since Microsoft
Technical Support for Hotmail is horrible and doesn't know how to read, here
goes. I use Thunderbird by Mozilla and was receiving and sending mail with no
problem. Then Hotmail/Windows Live Mail updated and now I can only download
one piece of mail when I check for mail regardless of how many new mails
there might be. Also, I can no longer send mail at all. Nothing was changed
on my end of things so it is something to do with the new update. When I try
to send mail I get an error saying I'm gettting "negative vibes" and it won't
accept the password. The password is correct and works if I use a browser
instead of the T-Bird mail client. Any ideas??

This newsgroup is for problems/questions regarding the Microsoft email
client called, "Windows Live Mail". While its functions are similar to
Mozilla Thunderbird, they are not the same program at all, and nothing
anybody knows about Windows Live Mail would apply to Thunderbird.

Hotmail support issues are in another support group. I had though it was
'microsoft.public.msn.discussion', but am not so sure, now. Another group
you might try would be, 'microsoft.public.internet.mail'.

Other than those groups (for Hotmail), your Thunderbird questions would best
be answered in a group specifically intended for Thunderbird user.

Try the following:
Open new account with: news.mozilla.org

and subscribe to: mozilla.support.thunderbird

I knew it was not the right place for this , but this is where Microsoft
support for Hotmail sent me. Apparently I was correct in my assumption that
no one can read at Microsoft. Thanks for everyone's replies.
