safe sender&blocked sender

How do I back up the safe sender list and the blocked sender list? In a
previous post I was told you can do it in the registry. At the time I was
not ready to mess with the registry but now I am. Any reply would be
appreciated.

Re: safe sender&blocked sender

What I did was after finding keys I right clicked and exported them to a
file on my hard drive. When I double click on one of them I get the message
below. It appears to me that if I were to restore my OS and after installing
WLM I were to double click on these exported files that it will add them to
the registry. Does that sound right to you?

Adding information can unintentionally change or delete values and cause
components to stop working correctly. If you do not trust the source of this
information in C:\Users\Walt\WLM Safe&Blocked Senders\Safe.reg, do not add
it to the registry.
Are you sure you want to continue. Yes No

Re: safe sender&blocked sender

Yes, double-clicking a .reg file adds it to the registry, replacing any
existing key with the same name.

Re: safe sender&blocked sender

From the ElderGeek
<qp>
Merge versus Replace.

The answer is; Maybe, depending on what edits you made. This is where Merge versus Replace comes into play. let's look at some
If/Then statements.

[If] a value exists in the .reg file and also exists in the modified registry [Then] the value will be changed in the registry.
[If] a value exists in the .reg file but not in the modified registry [Then] the value will be added to the registry.
[If] a value does not exist in the .reg file but does exist in the modified registry [Then] the value will not be removed or
changed in the registry.
[If] a value does not exist in the .reg file and does not exist in the modified registry [Then] there is no action to be taken in
the registry.
