Vista - Unable to access emails in Hotmail.com

Hi - I have two hotmail accounts, a .co.uk one and a .com one. I can open up
the .co.uk one without any problems, but get an error with the .com one

Sign-in Error

Windows Live Hotmail was not able to sign in to your account at this time.
Please try again later.

However, I seem to be able to see all my account settings, etc. and I've
been able to post this in the communities section so it appears just the
Hotmail part is not working.

I've had a colleague try logging in to their .com account and they can get
in without any problems. Is this a problem with my account or is it just a
problem with hotmail at the moment?

Apologies if I've put this in the wrong place, my first post and I'm a novice!

Are you using Windows Live Mail to download and/or send-receive mail for a Hotmail account ?
or
Are you using the web interface(hotmail.com) for a Hotmail account ?
