| | 1606 is very good. I've used four previous beta versions of Windows Live Mail, and it appears that build 1606 is certainly the best-performing thus far. For which I am suitably grateful. Stan Nelson. |

| | Re: 1606 is very good. Thanks. Perhaps Gary can provide the link again. I don't recall seeing it. There is no sense in our continuing to muck around with V.14 if there is a V.16. -- DSH Lux et Veritas et Libertas Vires et Honor "Stan Nelson" <stan02345@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:A64F3A23-4DD9-44B1-B3E0-E05334B839C0@xxxxxx Quote: > I finally found it via Google, after opening a few false hits. | | Re: 1606 is very good. Bill, That is correct. There is no version 16 Version 12.0.1606 = only current production version available = only rtw(release to web) production version http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview then click on 'Get it Free' or http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en Both use the same method to install the app..a small installer file(WLInstaller.exe) that provides a menu to download and install applications Fyi.. The official beta ends starting today. http://arstechnica.com/journals/micr...o-final-begins - note contrary to prior notice or other publicly available info from msft or other sites download.live.com still has the beta not the new version..I.e. don't use that site. Though it is expected that this will be the main url for the next RTW/Production release deployment. I.e.. The next RTW version(which will replace 12.0.1606) will become available in soon. It will have some feature changes and some fixes that were uncovered during the beta testing. -- ...winston ms-mvp mail "Bill" <someone@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:IdZYk.2535$nD1.1591@xxxxxx Quote: > > I think 1606 may refer to version 12.0.1606 which is what I am running > > Bill > |
