| | WLM email and folder Import problem I am trying to import email in Storage folders from Windows Live Mail on XP. to Windows Live Mail beta on a Vista machine. I have selected several folders at once from a disk. Everything looks normal in the process of transferring the email and each folder processes sequentially. But, when I look for the folders, they are not to be found. I looked under every folder in the folder pane. There are two Imported folders (under a Storage folder group), each with Storage folders, but they are empty. Do I need to manually create the receiving folders? I tried going back to try moving a single folder and got a message “No messages can be found in this folder or another application is running that has the required files open.” I closed all applications then restarted WLM, but the message was the same. I tried with a couple of folders on the off chance that one might actually be empty, with the same result. After rebooting, I tried to import a single folder. I get: Windows Live Mail Import, Location of Messages “The location of your e-mail messages could not be determined. Please select the location of the messages that you want to import. Then, after clicking Next, I get the “No messages can be found in this folder or another application is running that has the required files open.” I am able to browse messages on the disk without any problem. I had also clicked on the “make new folder” button and there was no apparent action from that. |

| | Re: WLM email and folder Import problem Winston, Yes, I used WLM's File, Export, Messages, Microsoft Windows Live Mail to a new folder. The folders I am trying to move resided as folders in Storage folders (not in sub-folders).
