Sort by conversation and date

Hi,
When I enable the conversation/thread view, and then sort by date, it sorts
the messages by the first message in each thread received.
As a result of this, if someone replies to an old thread, the message
doesn't show up at the top as its still sorted by the first message in the
thread.

Is there any way to sort by date, but still keeping the conversation view
enabled?

Thanks,
DD.

Re: Sort by conversation and date

I'm afraid not. The way the threading works is as you described, it's always
by the first message date.

Re: Sort by conversation and date

Can you consider adding the feature View>Current View > View as Conversation

This would SIMPLIFY our end. We use IMAP and we can not delete messages
that are under 1 year old by company policy. Therefore if we run in View as
Conversations, new messages will ALWAYS be lost/put at the bottom of the
list.

Are there any plans to add this feature in?
