| | Downloading Latest Version of WLM Hello, I am using the 1606 version of WLM. To get the latest version, should I uninstall this version and install the latest version, or can I download the lastest version on top of the version I am currently using? Thank you, Nissi1 |

| | Re: Downloading Latest Version of WLM Good evening Miller, That had me confused. I thought the version I am using was out of beta since I started using WLM when it was in its previous last version. Since posting my question, I had an opportunity to read what others were saying about the new beta. Although I experience a few issues from time to time, I think I will stick with what I have. I prefer icons and the coloring of WLM is not bad. Thank you for taking the time to post that bit of information. May you and yours have a blessed holiday, Nissi1 "N. | | Re: Downloading Latest Version of WLM Hello Gary, I read some of the comments. People are not happy. I do not understand the type of changes these companies are making these days. Have you seen what happened to the Dell Community Forum? Long time participants are leaving due to the mess. I have own this computer w/Vista for not quite 2 years. A month after I received this Dimension, it was almost obsolete, soon Vista will be also. I certainly do not have the finances to invest in a new computer or new OS every 2 years. But that is progress, regardless how misguided it can be! Have a blessed holiday Gary, Nissi1 "Gary VanderMolen" wrote: Quote: > Enjoy the icons while you can. You really should include the major version number, as well. 12 has the non-beta release (I don't recall which minor version was the first release version, or even if there are more than one minor release version). AFAIK, all 14s are still betas. Just a couple of different minor versions at this time. Quote: > Since posting my question, I had an opportunity to read what others were > saying about the new beta. Lack of Vista drivers for my scanner is keeping me away from Windows Vista at this time. I really need to bite the bullet, and set up Linux on the spare computer.
