Print Preview

How can I get a print preview of an e-mail so I can tell which pages I want
to print? There is print preview in the browser window but none in the mail
application. I am using Windows Live Mail on a computer using VISTA Home
Premium with SP/1

Re: Print Preview

That's not an option in WLM.

If you need to do this a lot and want to save ink and paper, an option
would be to install a PDF creation utility. These typically install a
PDF printer. You then select the PDF printer when you print the e-mail
and a PDF file is created instead of the real printer being used. You
can then open the PDF in the free Acrobat Reader and select the pages to
print.

There are a number of freeware/shareware PDF creation utilities. I
use PDF995 and it works OK for the few occasions that I need to create a
simple PDF.

Re: Print Preview

About all you can do is copy and paste the message into Microsoft Word.

Re: Print Preview

True...

And then you lose the formatting -- and often the graphics of the PDF
file.

Re: Print Preview

Thanks all. It's too bad this is not an option in WLM. Everyone else in the
world has it. I have used the techniques that you suggest but was looking to
see what WLM would offer. Thanks again.

Nonsense. If you paste an e-mail message into Microsoft Word you
don't lose the formatting or graphics of the PDF file because
it's not a PDF file to begin with.

Re: Print Preview

I just click "print" in any application and make my choices in preferences.
My Epson software shows previews, pages, zoom, shrink to fit, etc.
