I'd like it to - it did it last time, not this time for some reason
Anyone know how ?

Anyone know how ?
Are you saying that you had WLMail installed previously on your current System, then uninstalled it?
If that is the case, then reinstalling WLMail should take up the Message Store and Registry Items left behind, unless you manually deleted them post uninstall.
The Message Store contains your accounts as well as messages. The Registry Items contain your rules, settings, and signatures.
If the Registry Key (and all it contains):
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail
still exists in the registry, then WLMail will not re-import Windows Mail messages and accounts etc. upon re-installation.
To force WLMail to re-import the accounts and messages etc. from Windows Mail (assuming they still exist in WMail), you can delete the registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail
The re-import will commence automatically when WLMail is next restarted.

Open WM(Windows Mail)
Tools/Accounts/Export
- export each account to an iaf file
Open WLM(Windows Live Mail)
Tools/Accounts/Import
Navigate to the exported iaf file, select, click open in the bottom of the dialog box
The imported account will be the last in the list.
The same can be done with News accounts.
Note: it **does not** work the other way around. WM can not import accounts exported from WLM.

No - what I'm saying is that due to a problem, I had to reinstall Windows,
and used a backup to put the accounts back into Windows Mail.
Then the reason why I used Live Mail in the first place - the "Recovered
Messages" cluttering up W.M. and not staying deleted.
This time when I installed LM it didn't import the backedup accounts as it
did the last time.
