AFAIK, WLMail does not provide any method of deleting complete
discussions from any particular month.

However, you can create a News Message Rule to delete old messages. A
rule, "Where the message was sent more than xx days ago" ... "Delete
it", would probably serve your purpose.

Save the rule. Then, click on "Apply now".

Browse to the server or newsgroup name - and apply the rule to the
selected folders (and sub-folders).

I have a message rule where the message was sent over 20 days ago, delete
it.
The rule has to be applied manually.
Note, if a message is posted more than 20 days in the future, it will also
be deleted.

You can Find messages before a date.
Right click, Select all.
Right click, Move to folder, Deleted items.

The message rule is faster.

to do.

I noticed a Maintenance feature with the following options:
Purge newsgroup messages in the background; Delete read message bodies in
newsgroups; and Delete news messages ___ days after being downloaded. Can
either of these be helpful?

I have a newsgroup where I want to keep the messages for a longer time.
Those settings would apply to all newsgroups, so I haven't tried them.

Click on 'days', set your number of days.
