| | Re: WLM Update Question Since you use FireFox, why not try using the IE Tab addon? It allows you to switch the browser engine of a tab from gecko to IE, plus you can tell it to always show a particular web page using either gecko or IE. You can find the addon here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1419. Now to your question... Since these are beta releases they aren't included in the normal Windows Update. So yes for the time being, you'll have to uninstall and install the updated betas manually. Though once these become an official release, you should be able to update them through the Windows Update web site. -- Roy Smith http:/roysmith1959.spaces.live.com "rak" <rakess@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:6xM7l.51429$lX6.34128@xxxxxx I like to keep well patched, even (especially?) the betas. WLM 14.0.5027.0908 Vista x86 Home Premium Since I use Firefox as my primary browser and the update function on the drop down menu takes me to a site requiring IE6+ it will not let me update. Auto updates are on, but this seems to ignore betas and shows as up to date. So do manual attempts. I don't see update WLM as an option on the Live Download sites. Do I have to uninstall / reinstall WLM every time I want to update the build? |
