Vista - Can't Send To MSNEWS.MICROSOFT.COM From WLM

I suddenly [last 24-36 hours] can't seem to send to this newsgroup, or any
other one on the server, from WLM. I can download and read messages.

But I can send, as well as receive, just fine from Outlook Express 6.

What was changed in WLM and what do I need to do to be able to send again in
WLM?

Using V14 beta on XP Pro SP3.

Nothing was changed in WLM in the last 24-36 hours.
WLM works here on both rtw and beta versions.

Do I understand that you can receive but cannot send messages ?
If yes, then may be you want to check your out-going smtp port number. I
don't know what your port # should be.
I set up 2 accounts on my WLM, one of which is a gmail acct. I couldn't get
it working because I had the port #s wrong until someone here told me the
correct #s.

As for getting it off the list or even seeing it I haven't a clue.

WTH does Unblock mean? How can it possibly work?
E.g. if someone was on the blocked senders list all
their messages would be deleted so when could Unblock
ever be effective? ; ?


One thing that is much better in WLMail which could help refine
your symptom description (if you aren't on your blocked senders
list) is the diagnostic logging. So switch on Troubleshooting for
Newsgroups if it isn't already on (Options, Advanced, Maintenance.)
