| | Windows Mail Live posts don't get recorded in the newsgroup Hi folks, I have been postion to all Excel newsgroups via the Web interface. When posts are made this way they are recorded in the user profile. I have run some test recently using Windows Mail Live - posts made to the newsgroup appear on the thread but are not counted in the user profile. Questions - 1. is there a way to correct this problem? 2. The web interface is often very slow to load, it is unavailable many times when the newsgroups can be accessed via Mail Live? Is there anything we can do about this? 3. On the web interface I see three panes the first different languages, then groups, the subgroups, the middle one the threads, the right one the content of the selected message. Often the left side of the first pane is out of view, even with the scrollbar to the far left. Without going to a micro font, is there any way to correct this problem? Cheers, Shane Devenshire |

Supposedly they are working on it. The way to avoid it is to stop signing in and just post normally. Quote: > 2. Just use your pointer and see the full newsgroup name as a tooltip? Alternatively, you could drag the divider and make that pane wider. For that matter make both the newsgroup list and the message list panes wider then just read the threads in new tabs by doubleclicking in the message list. Good luck Robert Aldwinckle --- |

| | Re: Windows Mail Live posts don't get recorded in the newsgroup Hi, I've tested and that didn't solve the problem. But I will test the ideas from other responders, thanks anyway. -- Cheers, Shane Devenshire "Ildhund" wrote: Quote: > "Shane Devenshire" <ShaneDevenshire@xxxxxx> wrote > in message > news:6EDD7E4E-1A97-45F1-839D-9E99036C8576@xxxxxx Quote: > > Hi folks, > > > > I have been postion to all Excel newsgroups via the Web interface. > > When posts are made this way they are recorded in the user > > profile. | | Re: Windows Mail Live posts don't get recorded in the newsgroup Hi, "The way to avoid it is to stop signing in and just post normally." It seems that I am automatically signed it, so how do you turn that off in Windows Live Mail, or "Just post normally?"
