Switching Signatures

In some other mail programs I have used when I create a new mail message,
then click the drop down to change the account I'm sending from, the
signature in the message is automatically changed to match that account.

Is there any way to do this with Windows Live Mail? Sometimes I create a
new message not realizing I'm in the wrong mailbox so the signature isn't
correct. When I change the account then I have to delete the signature and
insert the correct one.

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're trying to do, but there is a way you can specify what signatures are used with various email and newsgroup accounts. To do this click on Tools - Options then click the signature tab. Next to where you write in your text signature is a button labeled advanced, clicking in it opens a window where you can specify which email/news account to use the signature with. Re: Switching Signatures

No, I understand that but here's what I'm talking about:

Let's say I'm reading mail in my MSN account. I click the NEW button and a
new message opens with the account and signature set to my MSN info. I
realize that I actually want to send the message from my Gmail account so I
click the account drop down and switch it to Gmail. The problem is that the
signature already in the message stays set to my MSN info. I have to
manually delete it and insert the correct signature.

Re: Switching Signatures

This has always been a source of irritation with OE/WM/WLM.
I guess it takes a lot of coding to figure out where the original signature
was placed so it can be replaced by the new signature.
