| | Live mail not working I see alot of issues here on this...but still no answers to when it will get fixed!! My issue is that on both systems, one with XP Pro, and the other on Vista Ultimate, I'm unable to use WLM. It gives me this error: Unable to send or receive messages for the Msn (rb_images) account. Windows Live Mail can't connect to the Hotmail server. To send and receive messages in your Hotmail account, go to http://hotmail.live.com on the Web, or try again later. Server Error: 5102 Server Response: Xfs request 'SyncBinary' failed. Response code: 'Undefined' Server: 'http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx' Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE00002 Currently I"m only able to access my email via using MSN home page, and then clicking on Hotmail..but that doesn't allow anything other than "viewing"...can't sort, etc. On my XP system, I even downloaded the newest version, 14.0.8050.1202, and still get same errors. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| | Re: Live mail not working I assume you've tried removing the account, restarting WLMail and then adding it back again. I don't know whether installing the new version would have been equivalent - a corruption in the account setup might have migrated with everything else. If you look in Help, it tells you that you should contact Support. To do this, go to http://help.live.com/help.aspx?project=wl_mailv2 and click on one of the FAQ entries. At the foot of the next page, click on 'Get more help', and on the next page, click on 'Get support'. Fill in the form and they should get back to you within a day or so. -- Noel "onesickpuppy" <rb_images@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:3100B76F-15A4-4A4D-8D99-58D9330A09C7@xxxxxx Quote: > I see alot of issues here on this...but still no answers to when > it will get fixed!! > > My issue is that on both systems, one with XP Pro, and the other > on Vista Ultimate, I'm unable to use WLM. | | Re: Live mail not working That's the beauty of DeltaSync - the mechanism that synchronizes the contents of the folders in your Hotmail account on the web with the account folders in WLMail. Even though you remove the account from WLMail, all your messages are safely stored in their folders on the web (well, safely and safely...). To make sure, you could *copy* messages you want to keep from your MSN account folders in WLMail to folders that you create under Storage folders. Then it's simply a question of right-clicking on the account name in the Folder pane and selecting 'Remove account'. Restart WLMail, then use the 'Add e-mail account' wizard at the foot of the folder pane to put the account back again. Depending on the number of messages in your Hotmail folders, it might take more than one synchronization cycle to get the whole lot in sync again - if it works, that is. If it doesn't, Support is your only option. Be sure to tell them that you've tried removing and re-creating the account, otherwise that's probably what they will suggest first off. -- Noel "onesickpuppy" <rb_images@xxxxxx> wrote in message news FCDFEA1-45FE-4ABB-961C-1EC4C0468686@xxxxxxQuote: > How does one go about "removing" an account?? > Would I lose any emails, or info?? > > Just lery of removing........and not being secure about retaining > all of my info (business related). > > "Ildhund" wrote: > Quote: >> I assume you've tried removing the account, restarting WLMail and >> then adding it back again. | | Re: Live mail not working Removal of a pop3 account will remove the **messages, the email account, and all account settings**. Prior to removing a pop3 account in WLM, copy the messages to a user created folder in the Storage Folders or to a folder in Windows Explorer. If you wish to recreate the account later, prior to removal, export the account to an *iaf file, which will allow importing with the prior settings and recreate the account. -- ...winston ms-mvp mail "onesickpuppy" <rb_images@xxxxxx> wrote in message news FCDFEA1-45FE-4ABB-961C-1EC4C0468686@xxxxxxQuote: > How does one go about "removing" an account?? > Would I lose any emails, or info?? > > Just lery of removing........and not being secure about retaining > all of my info (business related). > > "Ildhund" wrote: > Quote: >> I assume you've tried removing the account, restarting WLMail and >> then adding it back again.
