Assigning IMAP Mail Folders as Junk e-Mail in WLM

Hello:

As I have things set up, I have WLM set up with Hotmail and a couple IMAP
mail services (Google and a personal account)

Under Quick Views, I have issues with two sub folders: the "Unread e-mail"
and "All junk e-mail"

Of course, the junk mail in Hotmail gets filtered into the junk email quick
view but any mail in the appropriate junk email folders in my IMAP accounts
get filtered into the unread e-mail, thus making this quick view absolutely
worthless

Is there a way to tell WLM to consider certain folders as "Junk e-mail"?

Thanks!

Re: Assigning IMAP Mail Folders as Junk e-Mail in WLM

Dr. Germ,

You can specify which folder is the junk e-mail folder on an IMAP account.
It's a little tricky to do for Gmail because their Spam folder is a
subfolder of [Gmail], but if your personal account's set up with a junk mail
folder in the root folder you should be able to get that filtered into the
"All junk e-mail" quick view. To do this:

1. Right click on the name your personal account in the folder pane (this
will be in a larger font than the normal folders)
2. Select Properties and go to the IMAP tab.
3. Make sure "Store special folders on IMAP server" is checked.
4. Set the "Junk path" to be the name of the folder where junk messages go
in your personal account.
5. Apply your changes.

Let me know if this works.
Thanks,
-Kevin
