Vista - Weird glitch with WLM contacts duplicating email addresses

I have a PC running Windows XP Home SP3. Windows Live Mail (build 12)
is my default email and newsgroup program. DSL connection.

For the past few months, I have noticed a peculiar glitch with my
Contacts list. Most of my contacts are business related, and so their email
addresses are listed under "Work e-mail." Yet quite frequently these same
email addresses are mysteriously duplicated and added to the "Personal
e-mail" field too. This means when I email a person with that duplication,
their email address is displayed twice in the "To" field. I have repeatedly
tried to fix this by deleting the extra email address in the "Personal
e-mail" field, but the glitch eventually reappears. I have even deleted a
few contacts and re-added them. Still doesn't help. Glitch returns
eventually.

Is this a known problem with WLM build 12, or is there something I can
do to fix this? Thanks.

Are you automatically putting people that you reply to in the Address Book?

The 'Automatically put people I reply to in my address book after the
third reply' option is not checked.

I haven't noticed this, but could you check the Contact page for the
dodgy ones and see what it says in the 'Primary e-mail address' box?
The default is 'Personal', so if there isn't a Personal address, it
could be that the program just takes what it can find as the
preferred address. The solution would be to change 'Personal' to
'Work'.

I think I will uninstall WLM and re-install it. Not only do I have
the duplication email glitch, now suddenly WLM is running in ClearType, even
though that option is not enabled anywhere.

I just finished uninstalling and re-installing WLM. I am now using
build 14, which surprised me somewhat because I thought it was still in
beta. I deleted the duplicate email addresses in my Contacts list, so now
lets see if build 14 works any better.

Regarding my 2nd problem, it appears some of the panes in WLM are
running in ClearType while others aren't.

out of beta on January 8th, 2009.
