Vista - Spell checker halted

When I click on send with a forwarded message, I receive a Message saying:
The spell checker has been halted. Do you want to send the message anyway?
The spell checker is never given a chance to check the message. It does not
occur when I send a message which I have composed. Any ideas for this
problem? TIA. Jef

If you manually spell check the message (F7) do you also get the error?

If so, you might try highlighting sections of the message and then F7 to
see what might be ticking off the spell checker.

But that doesn't apply with Windows Live Mail.

Outlook Express is dependent on the spell checker files from another
Microsoft product such as Office. Windows Live Mail has its own spell
checker and isn't dependent on other programs.

I have the same problem and when it stsrts to happen, manual spell check also
does not work. When the problem occurs, the next time I try to open WLM,
nothing happens. I have to reboot my computer to get back into WLM. I have
Windows Vista Home Premium, use hotmail and comcast mail. The problem can
occur in either mail system and it started after te last big update to WLM
Does anybody have a solution?
