Screen size reduced with thick black borders

I am not sure if I should take this matter to " performance & maintenance "
newsgroup.
I installed 14.08050.1202 WLM 3-4 days ago.
Today, after an hour or so of using, I switched it to sleep. Restarted it
later on, and found the screen size drastically reduced by thick black
borders on left and right. I had to do a system restore to bring it back to
normal. There were no other softwares installed since WLM except having the
Live Writer opened.
Without anything concrete for your to work on, would you care to speculate
if this was WLM bug, or other performance problems? Thank you.

Re: Screen size reduced with thick black borders

Always state your full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3; Vista SP1) when
posting to this newsgroup, please.

Should it happen again, reboot instead of using System Restore and see if
the behavior persists.

Re: Screen size reduced with thick black borders

Afaik, WLM doesn't change your Video resolution or display settings.
System restore most likely functioned due to restoration of settings or a necessary protected file for your video card.
