Crashes in v. 14

I can reproduce this crash on XPSP3 with monotonous regularity:
The description for Event ID ( 1000 ) in Source ( Windows Live
Mail ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the
necessary registry information or message DLL files to display
messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the
/AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support
for details. The following information is part of the event:
wlmail.exe, 14.0.8050.1202, 49362406, msmail.dll, 14.0.8050.1202,
49362443, 0, 00092b1c.

I have the Reading pane located Bottom and Quick views showing,
including Unread e-mail. I have elected not to send/receive at
startup and to check for new messages every 9 minutes.

Open WLMail
Switch to newsgroups view
Select an account and hit F5
Read posts
When the new mail notification sounds, the Quick views Unread e-mail
counter increments.
Click on Unread e-mail
Select a message to view
WLMail crashes.

I have used the old trick of deleting the SearchFolderVersion
registry value to reset the Quick views store, I have compacted the
message store and I have done a repair install of the program. The
problem remains.

I'm using Avast! 4.8.1296 and IE 7.0.5730.11.

The workaround is to switch to mail view to view mail (!).
Can anyone reproduce this? Any suggestions for a cure?

Re: Crashes in v. 14

Thanks for trying! I did turn off my AV for a short while just to
check that the problem still occurs then, and it does. But I
wouldn't like to try that too often...
