| | Windows Live Mail & Alternatives I now have WLM V14, Outlook Express 6, Mozilla Thunderbird 2.0.0.19 and Thunderbird 3.0 beta 1 all installed on this machine. I'm experimenting with and testing their capabilities and limitations. Outlook Express is still clearly the superior product of the lot... But Thunderbird 3.0 beta 1 shows real promise.... It certainly holds contacts securely, rather than dumping them each time the software is closed -- like Windows Live Mail. Sadly, WLM V14 is the crippled runt of the litter. -- DSH Lux et Veritas et Libertas Deus Vult |

| | Re: Windows Live Mail & Alternatives True statement. I could never go back to Outlook Express. I do enjoy WLM but it has some short-comings which need to be addressed before Win7 is released. "N. | | Re: Windows Live Mail & Alternatives Win 7 doesn't include a mail program at all (or photo or movie maker). but they will have a prominent link to download the Live essentials. I like this approach. Cleaner install Less junk if you don't use. Plus, you avoid the mess where WLM doesn't actually replace WM and you have two mail programs. (same for WPG and WLPG) "D.
