Windows Live Uploading Tool

In the list of programs to uninstall, I noticed a new application called
Window Live Uploading Tool which was downloaded January 1, 2009. Is this
application for the sole purpose of upgrading Windows Live Services?

Thank you,

Nissi1

Re: Windows Live Uploading Tool

Nissi1,
Close...it does apply to Live services..but not in the upgrade arena.. It is an ActiveX control to upload files to your Windows
Live SkyDrive.

No, one of it's uses it to make it easier to upload pictures using Windows
Live Photo Gallery. I'm not certain, but it wouldn't surprise me if the
other programs in Windows Live Essentials use it it some manner.

Re: Windows Live Uploading Tool

Thank you everyone.

Since I do not use any of those services, I guess it will cause no harm
since I deleted the Upload Tool! I am really determined to hold onto WLM
12.0.1606 as long as I can! I use Windows Live OneCare and since I removed
the updates from automatic, OneCare is having a "red" fit!
