| | message rule I have a crazy question. In the message rules : under " Select one or more conditions ", I choose " where the From line contains people " under " Select one or more actions ", I choose " Do not download from server ", or " Delete it from server " Then I would enter the name(s) of people. Will this message rule effectively become " Block senders " option without the bother of emptying Junk folder ? t-4-2 |

| | Re: message rule It's tough to say. Never tried this. Message rules only work on the client and not on the server, so in order for the rule to kick in, it has to be downloaded to the client, however since you are stating "delete from server" and "do not download" it should infact act as a "block senders" as you stated. | | Re: message rule Sort of. Do not download would leave the messages on the mail server. So you'd have to go to web mail to delete them. Also put any such rules at the top of your rules with any others with an action of do not download or delete from server. Otherwise a prior rule might cause messages to get download before this rule could get applied. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "t-4-2" <dhuang1@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:257B9656-4FA5-420D-BAB6-0E8968145D4C@xxxxxx Quote: > I have a crazy question.
