Manually update live mail with new mail

For some reason I can't find an option to manually send/receive mail on this
program. Was this dropped? There are times when I don't want to wait
until the auto send/receive kicks in.. is there some way to do it manually
(ie. a button) as there is in ALL other mail programs?

Thanks

Terry

You must click on mails icon at bottom left of the screen, then hit F5 or
Sync in Tools Menu.

Re: Manually update live mail with new mail

Tools menu -> Send -> other options. Also, you may customize the tool bar
to add a Send/Receive icon.

Re: Manually update live mail with new mail

Terry is running the newer version of WLM.
Send/Receive has been replaced by Sync.

Okay, thanks. Is that with Windows 7? I'm running Live Mail version
12.0.1606 with Vista Home Premium.

Re: Manually update live mail with new mail

The email program used to come with the Internet browser.
It does not come with Windows 7, IE7, or IE8.

Re: Manually update live mail with new mail

You're version (12) has
Tools/Send and Receive/
- Send and receive all
- Receive all
- Send All

The latest version 14 has a new term called Sync replacing Send/Receive

Mail and News
Sync button on the Toolbar or on the menu(Tools) has three options

News mode - sync newsgroup, sync all newsgroups(F5), sync everything(Ctrl F5)
Mail mode - sync email account, sync all email accounts(F5), sync everything(Ctrl F5)

WLM has a common Outbox for all news and mail messages.
In news mode Ctrl-F5 is required to send any unsent emails present in the Outbox
In Mail mode, F5 and Ctrl-F5 sends all contents of the Outbox
