| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Remove pics from Email Hi All, When sending image as an attachment WLM embeds pic in body of email. This does not show up until after the email is sent. With some pictures it looks sloopy as pics are enormous. I am not using the add photo function, or photo email....... just attaching jpg image. Is there a fix for this? Cheers. |

| | Re: Remove pics from Email WLM is not really embedding attached pictures in the message body. That's a display option and is dependent on the recipient's mail program and their settings. You have no control over what's going to happen on the recipient's end. On your end, if you set WLM to Tools, Options, Read, Read all messages in plain text you won't see the pictures at the bottom of the message. You do have the option to resize the pictures before attaching so that they won't be enormous. That will result in a smaller message that will send faster. But that assumes that the recipient won't want to print a high resolution version of the picture. For viewing on the screen, the recipient would likely be happy to get a smaller picture. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "germantechnology" <guest@xxxxxx-email.com> wrote in message news:a6a4ff16e8a470b24ce54bb8cb4a097b@xxxxxx-gateway.com... | Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Remove pics from Email Thanks for your reply, Michael. I have sent test emails to my other account and the attached pics do end up being in body of email. I have also just changed settings to plain text and the text is placed in a file that has to be opened like an attachment. Any other thoughts? Cheers, Bob. |

| | Re: Remove pics from Email As Michael already said, the pictures are below the body of the email. They are not in the body. To stop OE from displaying pictures below the body of the email, zip the files or change the file extension to something besides a picture extension. -- Ronald Sommer "germantechnology" <guest@xxxxxx-email.com> wrote in message news:66e9044c1fe973a505ef64a4660313a1@xxxxxx-gateway.com... | | Re: Remove pics from Email If you are composing in HTML format, and reading in Plain Text format, then it is normal for a plain text version of the message to be displayed, with the HTML version showing as an attachment. As for sending to another account, it's up to the program you use with that account (e.g. Web mail) as to whether attached pictures are automatically displayed. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "germantechnology" <guest@xxxxxx-email.com> wrote in message news:66e9044c1fe973a505ef64a4660313a1@xxxxxx-gateway.com...
