Re: Calendar syncing 101

A databases is stored in two separate places(local and the server).
In the simplest form......When a Live ID is used at sign-on, the program and the web server handshake with each other, determine
differences and update each with most recent data.

Re: Calendar syncing 101

Thank you Winston. Finally an answer I can work with. The Calendar sync
error causes a real slowdown to the system until it finally times out or I
manually stop the sync. It doesn't happen every time I open WLM, but most of
the time. Solution, "STOP SIGNING IN" until the Calendar system is
prime-time. Thank you.

Re: Calendar syncing 101

You're welcome.

You might wish to read Geoff Clark's/Msft post in this forum about Calendar sync.
The post subject is:
Subject: calendar sync takes 100% of CPU?

Fyi...not signing in also stops sync with Contacts, and uses the 'Default' contacts, not the Live ID's contacts.
