Live Mail start up when computer starts up

How can i make Windows Live Mail NOT start up when the computer starts up? i
personally do not use the program, but my grandpa does and he has asked me to
make it so it doesnt start up when he boots up his computer. I have looked
through the 'options' found in 'tools' up on the menu bar, but was unable to
find anything that talked about start up when the machine boots up. I have
searched the Help on the Live Mail as well as here and it seems that no where
does it talk about this. I really cant believe that this program HAS to start
up when the computer starts up, because that seems very unlike Windows to me.
Hopefully there is something that i am missing. If you know how to make this
work, please share this with me.

Re: Live Mail start up when computer starts up

WLM doesn't load automatically on computer boot-up on any of my installations on XP or Vista.

Check the startmenu/startup folder.

Is you grandpa loading WLMsgr at startup too ?

Re: Live Mail start up when computer starts up

There are three possible ways (afaik) any program can be set to startup,
check all three to remove it from the startup.

1. Start button\Run\type; "msconfig" (unquoted) and hit Enter\Startup tab\if
a Live Mail process is present uncheck it to remove it from the startup

2. Start button\All Programs\Startup delete the shortcut if present there,
or delete it from C:\Document and Settings\user_account\Start
Menu\Programs\Startup

3. Start button\Run\type "regedit" (unquoted) and hit Enter\browse to the
Run key in:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run, and delete
the Live Mail value if it's present in the Run key
