Watched Messages

Hi Everyone,
How does one add or remove a poster in a News Group from the "Watched
Senders" list. HELP does not help with these words.
Phil

Click the eye-glass to add. Highlight and Delete to remove.

Re: Watched Messages

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
However, this technique only removes a single post.
How do I put a stop (or add) to future messages being "watched" for a
sender. Removing one watched message does not stop the process.
I found a dialog somewhere in options to change the color of watched
messages. However, the tab had nothing on determining who is being
watched.

Re: Watched Messages

Method mentioned below is to " watch ". If you want to remove, choose "
Delete it " instead of Highlight with color.

Re: Watched Messages

Only a message rule can watch for a sender. You either remove the name or
the rule.
There is no Watched Sender list.
You can "Watch by conversation". Click in the Watched column to Watch,
Ignore, or not Watched.

Re: Watched Messages

Hi Everybody,
Thanks for your replies. Now, I have to absorb all your comments.
I just installed Windows Live Mail. My posts starting a thread are
being "watched" in some news groups and not in others. I never set any
rules. I wanted to get control over this watching process.
Thanks again.
Phil

Re: Watched Messages

In the newsgroups under msnews.microsoft.com, AS LONG AS you do not enter
any message rules, posts that you STARTED are in RED. Any post that you are
interested in, click the " eye-glass ", it will turn Red as well, provided
again that you have not set any message rules.

Re: Watched Messages

Tools, Options, Advanced, 'Threads that I start' has to be checked for your
started posts to be Red.
It is not checked by default.
