Vista - Windows Live mail freezes and security issue

Our email is continualling freezing. It seems to have occurred since I
downloaded IE 7

Also Norton keeps giving messages that "Your browser is not set to detect
fraudulent Web sites or to authenticate genuine Web sites" when I open the
E-mail inbox

I suspect if you removed WLM, the Norton message would continue.

Define freezing.

Any error messages in WLM or Xp/Vista Event Viewer ?

Is email scanning enabled in Norton...if so disable scanning for both incoming/outgoing

Make sure your Norton antivirus is not configured to scan emails.
Email scanning in any antivirus should be disabled, for reasons
explained here:
