| | uninstall windows (vista original) mail after installing win live mail? How does one doe this? Is it possible? Why, when installing windows live mail, doesn't windows live mail auto-uninstall the original windows mail? Any ideas or pointers toward a solution would be appreciated |

Hello Robert, Windows Mail is considered a part of the Vista OS, so it cannot be removed. Instead you can just make Windows Live Mail (WLM) the default program instead. In WLM, click on Tools, Options, and both "Make Default" buttons at the bottom. Afterwards, you can just let Windows Mail sit unused or use both.
