Vista - How to export Windows Live mail messages to Windows Live Hotmail?

I was told in a previous in another Forum that I could drag and drop saved
emails in WIndows Live mail. I've tried that a million times and unless I
have a tractor, it isn't working?! My objective is to use web-based email
(Windows Live Hotmail) instead of any software POP account type. Sick and
tired of the Outlook surprises etc etc. Web-based lets me access it anywhere
and is less hassle, especially to corruptions due to no fault of mine.

But I need my saved emails for reference in my work...how can I get them
into Hotmail? I have saved them in Win Mail and WIndows Live mail...even have
a Document folder with them in *.eml format. I really appreaciate any
help...thank you in advance!!!

If you have the emails saved in Windows Live Mail, configure your Hotmail
account in Tools, Accounts and either drag and drop or copy your folders to
folder on the Hotmail server, from within Windows Live Mail. You can also
do this in Outlook (may need Outlook Connector installed) but not in Windows
Mail.

You don't think that files saved on a server can become lost or corrupted?
