WLM Tasks

How can I import my tasks from Outlook to WLM?

Re: WLM Tasks

I wish they'd just forget about the ruddy calendar for the nonce and fix all
the other broken things in WLM first.

It was an overemphasis on the calendar, at the cost of other bugfixes, that
got them in trouble in the first place.

The desktop version of the calendar in WLM doesn't support tasks.
Microsoft is looking into the feasibility of adding that function in
the next version.

Thank you.

Yes, the calendar is a waste of time at this juncture.

Re: WLM Tasks

That's a bummer for Windows 7 if it doesn't come with any other built-in
calendar software. I use the tasks about the same amount as I use the
calendar in windows calendar in Vista.

I'd hate to skip the upgrade to Windows 7 (or use third-party calendar
software) just because the tasks/to-do function isn't available in the
calendar there. Please fix this soon. It is a very necessary function for any
calendar app and should come standard (or downloadable for Win7) with any
version of Windows OS.

OS is just system software. I don't really expect system software publisher
to spend a lot of time on applications which aren't necessary to system
operation. Let the system software developers spend their time on build a
robust, secure OS, and let me look for applications from application
develepors. Sorry, but surely part of the reason MS system software is like
Swiss cheese is due to time spent on non-critical component development.

Re: WLM Tasks

Live Calendar has far less features than Outlook, but an add-on calendar for the Win7 beyond a free(Live) and fee(Outlook) isn't
likely to occur.
Whether or not WLM adds a task to do function...time will tell.
