| | Re: Backup and Restore from files Do not copy the data. Yes you do need a working copy of WLM. And do create your email accounts in advance(manually or importing from an earlier saved *.iaf file) Two options are recommended for message restoration[assuming your recovered folder(s)/subfolders(s) actually contain the individual *.eml files] 1. Messages can be dragged from the message store to your WLM interface as a method of importing them, or 2. You can import messages directly by Browsing to your old Message Store with File->Import->Messages->Windows Live Mail->Next->Browse...
