Is WLM Downloaded with Microsoft's Automatic Updates?

I continue to use WLM 12.0 1606 and have changed the auto update's setting
to prevent the download of the newer version. Since I use WL OneCare, its
icon is constantly red due to the update's setting. Is the newer version of
WLM part of Microsoft's auto update?

Thank you,

Cora

No, it's not. You have to download WLM updates manually.

One of the reasons I got rid of OneCare is because it treats
the user as an imbecile.

Yes, and even though I may be imbecilic, I don't want Microsoft products
completely running and controlling my computer -- especially since there are
fine alternatives available for most if not all functions involved. An
operating system is one thing. More than that is something else and often
better. I have Windows XP with SP3 and the Vista Transformation Pack 3.01
which gives me Aero and then some, with no ill effects. And a few other
applications from elsewhere. And at this point, I could hardly be happier.

Does this "Vista Transformation Pack 3.01" give you UAC? ;^)

Cheers,

Earle

Please don't remove previous entries. Thanks.

It is not possible to "remove previous entries" from news group postings. It
is possible to not quote previous articles; but that is hardly the same
thing as "removing previous entries".
