| | email automatically resending A single reply to an email from a friend two weeks ago keeps automatically resending itself at random. The message was deleted by me shortly after sending it originally. As an example today my friend received the email twice. I cannot locate the email in any folder associated with live mail. It is becoming quite a nuisance but I don't know how to stop my computer from continual resending. |

Copy that then switch to a cmd window and use it to make a cd command. E.g. type cd /d (including a trailing space) then right-click paste the path you copied. Then press Enter. Now apparently* you can check on the contents of your Outbox by: cd Outbox and dir/a/od My guess is that you will see your problem message still in there even though it is supposedly sent. Hmm... when I do that I see some old 0-byte files there. Who knew? This might explain my compaction problems! Hope so. Anyway, thanks for this bit of serendipity! ; ) * Actually since I didn't know where the Outbox was I first did: dir/ad/s Outbox which would then allow you to get the actual full path for another cd right-click, Paste if necessary. Good luck Robert Aldwinckle --- Quote: > It is becoming quite a nuisance but I don't know how to stop my computer from > continual resending. |

E.g. if it goes through your friend's mailbox provided by an ISP and that has a web interface use that to see if the message is sticking there. If so, delete it, or whatever. Good luck Robert --- |
