Vista - Missing Contacts

I am running Windows Vista 64 with Windows Live Mail (I've upgraded from the
Windows Mail that comes with Vista) and discovered that I keep losing
contacts that begin with the letters S - Z. When I've added them back they
only stay a day or two at the most then disappear again. I have tried adding
them back in the Live Mail application and also tried adding them through my
web based hotmail account. Same result regardless. There are a large number
of contacts without names, however when I add the name, they also do not stay
more than a day. I have the most current version of Live Mail. Any idea how
to solve this problem?

You might try this..
Close WLM, Close WLMsgr
Logon to People.live.com
Verify all contacts are present,or add as needed.
Save
Logoff the web interface
Logon and verify the contacts are present, if so logoff
Delete the Windows Live Contacts folder in your user profile
Open WLM and ensure that same Live ID is used to signin to Windows Live at program open
