Vista - Backing up hotmail address book and importing to desktop live

Hi, does anyone know how to backup hotmail address book, and import my
hotmail address bokk from the net to Hotmail Live desktop ?

Fyi...Windows Live Mail dropped the 'desktop' name almost 2 years ago.

If using a Live ID, then WLM should sync with the web server.

Since your post orginated from the web interface(CDO) we can't determine which version of WLM you are using ?
Click on Help/About (in WLM)
- the latest is 14.0.8064.0206 and available at download.live.com. Consider the full installer version.

To export a Hotmail account(hotmail.com, live.com, msn.com) contacts using the web interface logon at contacts.live.com, click
Manage, Export, enter the 8 Characters(HIP) to verify your ID is valid, then click Export, save the csv file to location of your
choice.

Since WLM will sync with these online contacts, you shouldn't have to import them into WLM, but it is always a good idea to have a
backup copy. It is also better to import into your Live ID in the web interface, since the web interface is capable of
exporting/importing all data fields in a given contact. (WLM in its current version does not import or export all email fields(e.g.
Other e-mail, Work email, and IM address).
